Since 2014, Warsaw Smog Alarm (Warszawski Alarm Smogowy) has been dedicated to reducing air pollution in Warsaw. Their mission is to increase awareness of the problem and inspire social activism that can help spread the message and create a cleaner environment for city dwellers.
To reflect the organization's values and goals, we were tasked with creating a logo that was both unique and minimalistic. Inspired by the statue of Warsaw Mermaid and images of old gas masks from the 1980s, we developed a design that combined these two elements to create a distinct symbol.
Instead of a typical mermaid-inspired logo, we opted to leave out the mermaid's torso and incorporate a gas mask, providing a clearer and more direct representation of the organization's mission. By using a minimalistic approach, we were able to create a powerful and memorable logo that effectively communicates the message of Warsaw Smog Alarm.
The resulting logo is both eye-catching and thought-provoking, and it embodies the organization's commitment to creating a cleaner and healthier environment for the people of Warsaw.
